Before you ship: product requirements
- Cookware and other food-contact items must meet FDA food-contact requirements; keep material test reports.
- Ladders are often expected to meet recognised US safety standards; retailers may request test reports.
- Country-of-origin marking on products and packaging.
Duties for aluminium consumer goods
Depending on the HTS code, products may be subject to base duty, country-specific additional duties and — if listed as aluminium derivatives — Section 232 duty on the aluminium content. See Section 232 aluminium.
